The 2018/19 Season Has Arrived

It’s finally here, the 2018-19 season has arrived, and I can’t wait to get out there and deliver for Valencia!

Pre-season training was tough – I don’t think I’ve ever sweated THAT much – but it was also a lot of fun! The travelling was really cool. Our first two games were in the Alps, against Galatasaray and FC Lausanne-Sport. The views were incredible. I love the mountains, so it was a real treat to get to visit that part of the world. My roommate was Zaza, so much fun, he’s a really funny guy. I even made him play Fortnite for the first time!!

After our mountain experience, we jetted over to Holland for a game against PSV Eindhoven. The atmosphere in the Philips Stadion was awesome. So much noise, so much energy. Another highlight of my trip.

Then we went to England for games against Leicester and Everton. We won one and drew one, so we came back to Valencia in high spirits.

Finally, a dream come true – the Trofeo Naranja. As a kid growing up in the VCF Academy, I think I must have watched every game, idolising the players as they spar one last time before going into battle. After a football-less summer, there’s so much energy and excitement around the stadium, and that’s exactly how it felt for the game against Bayer Leverkusen. We won 3-0 and it was a fantastic experience.

Bring on the new season!!!!
