Let the Good Times Roll

It started back in May with the Copa del Rey win against Barcelona – my first trophy for the club. Then came the U-19 European Championship win for Spain where my two goals were enough to beat Portugal and lift the trophy. Only two months later, Luis de la Fuente – Spain’s U21s coach – asked me to join his squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier against Kazakhstan. Since then, we’re unbeaten, and while there’s still quite a long way to go (the finals are in June 2021), we’re top of our group and enjoying our football together.

With Valencia, there’s a great energy around the team, the results are coming in, and we’re making steady progress up the table.

Last month I was named among the 20 finalists for the 2019 Golden Boy award, which recognises the best player in Europe under the age of 21. It was an honour to be considered among this great pool of talent.

I’m enjoying a bit of a goal spree as of late. My tally is up to four for the season, three in LaLiga and one in the Champions League. It was a truly special feeling to score in the toughest club competition in european football, and during two Valencian derbies.

Let the good times roll! Amunt Valencia!!! 🦇
